WELL LOG CONSTRAINED MULTISCALE RESERVOIR THICKNESS INVERSION

Based on the multiscale wavelet decomposition theory, the velocity section and well log curve can be decomposed. Using every scale decomposition result, the position of sand rock can be detected, the geometry shape of sand rock described, and the visual stacking thickness of thin sand rock and potential hydrocarbon thin sand rock calculated. Importing every scale's visual thickness to artificial neural network, the stacking thickness of thin sand rock and potential hydrocarbon thin sand rock can be inversed. The result of 3 D seismic data processing shows that this method is stable and reliable. Using this method an accurate stacking thickness of thin sand rock can be got.
