STUDY OF GAS RECOVERY AND WATER FILM THICKNESS IN WATER DRIVE FOR TIGHT SANDSTONE GAS RESERVOIR

The reservoir water saturation and the recovery ratio are important parameters in exploitation and development of oil and gas accumulation. For the ZBXR gas reservoir, the measured average irreducible water saturation is 26% by the method of the high pressure semi permeable plate, and the calculated average irreducible water film thickness is 0.043 μm using theoretical formula. In experimental simulation of water drive in matrix, the total recovery is around 45% and the corresponding water film thickness is 0.119 μm. In order to increase the total recovery of fractured tight gas reservoir, the phenomenon that the water in fractures invades the pores must be controlled so as to seal the gas.
