ZHANG Chi jun, BIAN Shao feng (Laboratory of Geodynamical Geodesy, Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan)  
The development of geodesy calls for determining precisely height of geoid ( N ). If the difference between geoid and quasi geoid ( ζ ) can be expresscd by a precisc formula and is known, N can be determined. Three models are used and the ( N-ζ ) calculated in this paper. The numerical results indicate that the accuracy of formula is very high, and the normal height can be reduced precisely to orthometric height.
