THE CHARACTERISTICS OF FLUID AND ITS MIGRATION IN BASIN MOUNTAIN TRANISITION OF THE LONGMEN MOUNTAIN

The fluid inclusions and stable isotope geochemistry are adopted to study the fluid characteristics and to reveal the path of fluid migration in the West Sichuan Foreland Basin the Longmen Mountain transition . The studies indicate that the fluid formed during the basin mountain transition is metamorphic fluid with multi phase salt water formed in the initial stage of deformation. The temperature and pressure of fluid were 38.5~273.5℃ and 22.5~27.0 MPa. The salinity changed from 5.1% to 33.98%, and decreased and rose in turn from early to later stage. δ 18 O of fluid changed from 0.19‰ to 9.14‰. In the mountain, lateral migration of fluid was predominant. Lateral fluid migration in different layers was connected by hydraulic fractures, and concentrated in some places to form a complicated network system of fluid migration. Pressure gradient, temperature gradient and topographic gradient were remarkable between the Longmen mountain and the West Sichuan Foreland Basin. The fluid migrated from the mountain to the basin in the junction area between the basin and the mountain.
