A QUANTITATIVE STUDY ON THE CLASSIFICATION OF UNLOADING ZONES OF ROCK MASS SLOPE

In the research of water conservancy and hydroelectric projects, the rock mass unloading and classification of unloading zones are very important contents. At the same time, they are main factors that affects the choice of the bearing surface of a dam foundation. On the basis of the foregone research results, this paper puts forward quantitative indexes of classification of unloading zones: fissure aperture, fissure amount, longitudinal wave velocity and coefficient of permeability. Using these indexes to classify unloading zones, the result is accordant with qualitative investigation on the spot. These indexes offer reference evidences of classification of unloading zones for rock mass slope engineering.
