ELRF depth migration and improved algorithm

ELRF (Extended Local Rytov Fourier) depth migration is based on scalar wave equation and a local application of the Rytov approximation with each extrapolation. The lateral slowness variations are taken into account in the frequency-space domain. This method possesses high computing efficiency and precision and is an efficient imaging tool for a complicated geological structure. In this paper, aiming at the characters of migration for a complicated geological structure, the authors propose an improved ELRF depth migration algorithm to ameliorate the capacity of processing migration problem for the complicated geological structure. Field data processing in CX area shows the method presented in this paper can (efficiently) improve the stability of ELRF method, can provide better imaging results for a complicated (geological) structure.
