Experimental study on uniaxial compression deformation and acoustic emission proerty of typical rocks

FU Xiao-min(Geological Hazards Prevention and Geological Environmental Protection National Speciality Lab., Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu 610059, China)  
Acoustic emission is an important physical phenomenon when rocks are deformed and fractured due to loading. It is also a direct parameter to show the mechanical property of rocks. The properties of full deformation and acoustic emission of skarn, quartz diorite, serpentinite and siltstone from a mine under the uniaxial compress load are introduced and analyzed in this paper. The results got from the analysis show that there is a better consistency between the deformation rate and acoustic emission frequency of rocks.
