Heterogeneity and controlling factors of the Upper Paleozoic fragmental reservoir in Tabamiao,Ordos Basin,China

The heterogeneity of reservoirs is generally controlled by sedimentation,diagenesis and tectogenesis.Due to the study of intra-layer heterogeneity and micro-heterogeneity of the Upper Paleozoic clastic reservoir in Tabamiao area,the conclusion has been achieved that the intra-layer heterogeneity of sandstone reservoirs is mainly controlled by sedimentation and that the sedimentary structure and the sedimentary rhythm determine the characteristics of intra-layer heterogeneity of reservoirs.Another conclusion is that the micro-heterogeneity of reservoirs is mainly controlled by diagenesis and that the maldistribution of compaction and chemical erosion is the critical factor to influence the micro-heterogeneity of the reservoirs.As a result,the analysis of reservoir heterogeneity can offer a geological guidance for the study of gas distribution in reservoirs and also is in favor of the succedent exploration and development.
