An optimum analysis of the construction process for double-arch tunnels under an unsymmetrical pressures and complex geological conditions

Different construction processes of a double-arch tunnel under an unsymmetrical pressure have completely different influences on the stress characteristics and stability of lining and rock mass,especially more obvious under poor geological conditions.By referring to the similar project of the Fuxi tunnel and using the software of FLAC3D,the authors simulate the excavating sequence of a double-arch tunnel during its construction under an unsymmetrical pressure and complex geological conditions by the 3-heading excavation method,and research the stress-strain state of lining and rock mass under different excavating sequences of the guide tunnel and main tunnel.A comprehensive analysis shows that a reasonable excavating sequence of a guide tunnel is to excavate the left guide tunnel firstly,and that of a main tunnel is to excavate the right main tunnel firstly.
