METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CELESTITE TYPE Sr DEPOSIT IN CHONGQING AREA

The Sr deposit in the Chongqing area occurs in the gypseous algal delostone gypsum rhythmite from the limestone dolostone celestite in the second and fourth members of the Lower Triassic Jialingjiang Formation.The gypseous algal dolostone in the celestite is the ore bearing bed.Celestite deposited to form the source bed in the penecontemporaneous period.The hot brine (220 ̄300℃) in the first period metasomatized and formed the lamellar banded celestite ore bed along the ore bearing bed driven by the thermodynamics and pressure in the epigenetic period.The hot brine(150 ̄220℃) in the second period filled in the ore bearing bed and the fissures of its adjacent carbonate rock and metasomatized to form the lumpy and vein celestite.The hot brine (150℃) in the third period filled the fractures to form the celestite and barite vein.The mineralization of the first and second period hot brine often superimposed to form industrial deposits.
