Application of EOS/MODIS data to dynamic monitoring of flood in Weihe River

ZHANG Shu-yu, LI Deng-ke, LI Xing-min, JING Yi-gang, FU Wan-ming(Shaanxi Remote sensing Information Center for Agriculture, Xi'an 710015, China)  
The MODIS data spectrum characteristics of the vegetation, water body and soil are analyzed. The work flow chart to process the remote sensing data in monitoring the flood is recommended. The quantitative indices to identify the flood and the method to estimate the flood area are presented.
