Application of CO_2 Huff and Puff in Heavy Oil Reservoirs to Enhance Oil Recovery: Status in quo at Home and Abroad

According to stimulation mechanisms of CO2 huff and puff,injecting CO2 into crude oil could reduce the oil viscosity and swell oil volume,increase formation driving force as well as decrease the formation resistance,so as to enhance the oil recovery.Results show that CO2 huff and puff is an effective method of enhancing oil recovery for single well.This paper discusses stimulation mechanisms and up-to-date status in quo of application,as well as future research contents of CO2 huff and puff.The results have an important benefit to the extensive application of CO2 huff and puff domestically.
