Influence of tin on the mechanical properties of calcium-containing magnesium alloy

According to the requirements of magnesium alloy for parts, the effect of elemental tin on the properties of magnesium aluminum zinc silicon alloy is studied. The experimental magnesium alloy has a Sn of 0.5%~5.5%and contains a certain amount of aluminum, silicon, zinc calcium and lead. The tensile strength test shows that the suitable calcium and tin content can make the magnesium alloy have a tensile strength of 220 MPa and an elongation of 12%. Tin has a great effect on the improvement of the mechanical properties of the Mg-Al-Zn-Si alloy system, and can meet the requirements for practical parts.
