A Study of the Effects of Different Grazing Intensities on Soil Physical Properties

The experiment of the effects of different grazing intensities on soil physical characters was conducted on Russian wildrye ( Pasathyrostachys juncea ) pasture in the mixed farming and raching region in north China.The results showed that the soil porosity degree and penetration rate decreased,while soil bulk density increased with grazing intensity increased.Effects of grazing intensities on soil physical characters reduced with increase of soil depth.The soil properties of the surface layer (0~10cm) were the most sensitive to grazing intensity.
