Nitrogen Fixation in Leymus chinensis Grassland in Northeast China

A combined transect and quadrats measure was adopted to study on the frequency, density and biomass of legume forages in Leymus chinensis grassland, the concentration of N 2 fixing plant-Lathyrus quinquenervius and nonfixing control plant-L.chinensis were measured by micro-Kjeldahl method, and the 15 N isotope dilution method was used to study the percentage of by legumes of that grassland is 1.5kgN/hm 2.
