The Comparisons of Resist Drought and Cold on Several Cool-Season Grass in Beijing

To compare the drought and cold resistance of various cool season grasses in Beijing, five different cultivars were treated with drought in summer and natural cold in winter. The coverage, electrolyte leakage, activities of SOD and POD,content of MDA and chlorophyll were evaluated. The results showed that the coverage of various cultivars displayed markedly differences after treated by drought in summer. These physiological indexes measured after growth in field in winter changed in rule. The drought resistance and cold resistance of tall fescue is strongest among the various cultivars in this paper, followed by that of bulegrass,ryegrass in declined order.
