Isozyme Studies of Elytrigia Hybrids(E. elongate×E. intermedia) and Their Parents

Through the analysis of isozyme zymograms of peroxidase(POD),esterase(EST),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and polyphenol oxidase(PPO),the zymogram characteristics and relationship of Elytrigia hybrids,E.elongate×E.intermedia,and their parents were studied.The results are as follows: the band number,migration rate,and pigmentation degree of isoenzymes between parents had slight differences and their genetic relationship could be close.F1 hybrids lacked of some bands of POD,SOD,and PPO isoenzyme as compared to their parents,but had some new bands in descendant of reciprocal cross;EST bands of hybrid F1 were almost the same as the parents except the pigmentation degree.The characteristic of isozyme bands of POD and PPO of hybrid F1 had the tendency to E.elongata,and the SOD isozyme band to E.intermedia.Isozyme Polymorphisms existed in hybrid F1 which could be used as the genetic marker to identify hybrids and determine the plants with target characteristics in descendant strains.
