Effect of Different Salt Stress on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Calamagrostis pseudophragmites

As a perennial rhizomatous grass,Calamagrostis pseudophragmites has a wide application prospect as feed,or in garden landscape and constructed wetland. In order to know its stress resistance,C. pseudophragmites seeds were treated by different salinity,and the effects of salt stress on germination and seedling growth were discussed. The results showed that alkaline salts of Na2 CO3 and Na HCO3 significantly decreased the germination rate of C. pseudophragmites seeds than that of Na Cl. And the elongation growth of plumule and radicle was also significantly inhibited by alkaline salts.
