A Study on the Solid-state Fermentation of the Strain F120 Producing Hypoglycemic Pigment

Objective The Aspergillus terreus strain F120,which can produce a large amount of indolyl benzoquinone pigments, had been isolated in our lab.Indolyl benzoquinone pigments have obvious Hypnglycemic effect.For increasing the yield of indolyl benzoquinone pigments,optimization researches on the solid-state fermentational conditions of F120 were carried out.Methods Primary researches on the solid-state fermentational conditions of F120 were carried out.Its ability of producing indolyl benzo- quinone pigment was examined by rice solid-state medium,and its optimum cultivation conditions were acquired by orthogonal method.Results The F120 could gain a maximum yield of 1.1315g/Kg indolyl benzoquinone pigments in the optimum cultivation conditions.Conclusion The optimized fermentation method appeared to be simple,reliable and significantly increased the produc- tion of indolyl benzoquinone pigments.
