REGULATING EFFECTS OFSERICINE ON CHOLESTEROLAND TRIGLYCERIDE OFDIABETES MELLITUS RATS

Objective:To observe the regulating effects of sericine on cholesterol and triglyceride of diabetes mellitus rats.Methods:48 male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups with 12 rats in each group: normal control group,diabetes mellitus model group,sericine treatment group and positive control group.Type 2 diabetes mellitus rats model was made by continuous intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin,and then the rats were lavaged with sericine(2.4g/kg) and metformin(55.3mg/kg/d).The blood glucose,cholesterol and triglyceride of rats in each group were respectively detected.Results:Compared with normal control rats,the blood glucose,cholesterol and triglyceride of rats in diabetes mellitus model group increased obviously(P 0.01).The blood glucose,cholesterol and triglyceride of rats in sericine treatment group and positive control group were obviously lower than that of rats in diabetes mellitus model group(P 0.01).Conclusions: Sericine can obviously improve lipid disorder of diabetes mellitus by decreasing cholesterol and triglyceride content.
