Experimental research on Venturi water film collecting technique with steadiness and high efficiency

The total collecting efficiency of different spray flow rate and the fractional collecting efficiency for different diameter particles are studied through simulation experiment of Venturi water film precipitator. Test result shows that this kind of precipitator can effectively remove dust particles with diameter of 5μm and above. In normal cases, the collecting efficiency of the precipitator can be up to 98%. As the main problem influencing the efficiency of dust removal is that the nozzle is subject to plugging, resulting in uneven spray and remarkable decrease of collecting efficiency, the paper develops a filtering system to resolve the problem, which can operate continuously and backwash automatically.
