Study on Method for Power Cable Fault Location Based on LabVIEW and Wavelet Analysis

On the basis of the analysis of the error for cable location in traditional traveling wave impulse location method,the implementation of the exact recognition of the fault signal and location is made on the LabVIEW platform based on the different characteristics of wavelet transform modulus maximum in the different scales and restriction conditions obtained by autocorrelation analysis.A large number of simulation tests show that the method has the excellent characteristics of the high fault location precision,friendly human-machine interface,convenient maintenance and upgrading,low costs,and the functions of the system can be regulated in term of the requirements of users.
