Study on Fail-safe Probability Analysis of Mine Side Slope

In the probability analysis of side slope stability,the intensity parameter of rock mass is taken as a random variable,the risk of side slope engineering is taken into consideration,the allowable destructive probability of overall side slope and the realiability index of targets are worked out by means of engineering analogy.therefore,an optimum design is chosen.The study reveals that destructive probability and safe coefficient are different concepts,belong to different domain.The method of fail-safe probability analysis takes all factors affacting the stability of side slope into full consideration.So the result is more realiable and more practical.
