Structural Damage Detection Based on Flexibility Matrix Method

YANG Hua (College of Science,Changchun University of Science and Technology,Changchun 130022)  
In this paper damage detection based on modal analysis is investigated for engineering structures health monitoring.A new method using Flexibility matrix for damage detection is proposed,which only requires low modal parameters the structures to locate damage.The efficiency of the method is validated by numerical simulation studied on a damage cantilever beam.Flexibility matrix method can locate damage accurately,The technique is of pratical value in the field of engineering.
