Attenuation Prediction for 1.06 μm laser propagation in the troposphere

The characteristic of laser propagation in the atmosphere is a key issue while designing photoelectric sensor of laser detector.This paper analyses various of factors which influence the propagation of laser,and the formulas and values of attenuation prediction for different weathers such as clearness,fog,haze,rain and snow etc.are proposed.These are helpful for designing 1.06 μm infrared laser systems of laser communication,lidar and laser-guided devices.
