The Numerical Calculation of the Apparent Resistivity curve of Ellipsoid under Normal Field Source

In order to solve numerical calculation straightforward problem of electrical prospecting,this article calculates the apparent resistivity curve of ellipsoid by applying the simulate charge method. The author introduces the theory of the simulate charge method,the arrangement of contour point and design of simulating charges,and also developed the cor-responding program. The ellipsoid is typical 3-dimensional geo-electrical body,it can calculate most of the apparent resis-tivity curves of 3-dimensional geo-electrical body after calculating the apparent resistivity curve of ellipsoid,The results can provide a preliminary premise for researching electrical prospecting.
