System Design of A Varifocal Beam Expander

In order to achieve the expansion of the He-Ne laser beam,througing the analysis of the three elements zoom lens,the movement of the variator,fixed group and compensator are derived throughing the analysis of the three elements zoom lens.Using the optical design software,ZEMAX,the theoretical results are tested.And the zoom lens which have the magnification from 2?to 12?are designed.Using the optimization function of the ZEMAX,the aberration of the system can be satisfied.We could learm from the final resoult that the structure of this system is sinple.and superion in quality.It is a vavifocal Beam Expander systerm which could be used in practical application.
