In Vivo Voltammetric Determination of Neurotransmitters with Carbon Fiber Electrodes Modified with Nafion

Peng Tuzhi Yang Liju Hong Jiaqiong(Dept. of Chemistry, Hangzhou Univ. ) (Zhejaing Hospital. )  
This research provides a eletrostatic dip modification of Nafion of the electro-chemically pretreated carbon fiber electrodes. The modified electrode shows good sensi-tivity and selectivity. In vivo voltammetry, it directly detects the oxidation current ofneurotransmitter DA, while it effectively inhabits the oxidation of electroactive com-pounds and some neurotransmitter metabolites, such as AA, DOPAC, 5-HIAA, UAand HVA. Local microinjecton and harmacologic manipulation demonstrated the relia-bility of the electrode. The procedure of activation and modification is very simple, nospecial instrument is needed, and it is easy to control the thickness of the coated film.
