Technology and Applications of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors

LI Wenhong, YANG Zhenkun, XIA Jiansheng (Electrical Engineering School, Xi′an Jiaotong University, Xi′an 710049 P.R.China)  
First of all, basic sensing principles, wavelength interrogation and multiplexing techniques were reviewed in this paper. Next, the article provide a comprehensive overview of recent applications of FBG sensors for composite and concrete structures, the electrical power industry, energy sources and chemical engineering. Finally, application future of FBG sensors was discussed.
