Research on Detection of Vortex Flowmeter Signal with Differential Pressure

The existing transducers of vortex flowmeters are usually of complex structure, There are some disaclvantages in their application to the practical production process.According to the principle of vortex flowmeter, a new flow measurement method for vortex flowmeter is put forward, in which flowing rate signal is obtained by detecting differential pressure from the sensors installed at certain position on the wall of vortex flowmeter. The experimental results confirm that this new method is not only of simple principle, high precision, reliable, cheap, strong anti-interference ability and easy to implement in common industrial measurement, but also it can simplify the transducer system of vortex flowmeter, eliminate the disturbance to wake flow, and realize on-line maintenance and replacement for transducers.
