Characteristics Study on Time-Frequency Analysis Method Based on Empirical Mode Decomposition

For the limits of the conventional methods of time-frequency analysis, a novel method-Hilbert-Huang Transformation is analyzed. EMD/HS (Empirical Mode Decomposition/Hilbert Spectrum) algorithm which is used to extract instantaneous features of signals through utilizing the EMD and HT are proposed and its characteristics are analyzed, too. Simulation results show that, compared to conventional methods of time-frequency analysis, the method has perfect time-frequency concentration and eliminates the cross-time interference.
