New Digitized Electrical Capacitance Tomography System

To improve the precision and speed of the system,a new 16-electrode digitized electrical capacitance tomography system based on FPGA and DSP is designed.FPGA performs the system logical controls,produces sine wave exciting signal and realizes digital demodulation,which simplifies the control and interface circuit and enhances the reliability of the system.While DSP accomplishes image reconstruction algorithm,then sends the value of grey to computer through PCI to display the image.The results of theoretic analysis and experiment show that both SNR and velocity of the system are improved.
