An approach to fast CCD target location

Centroid algorithm is a high accuracy method to locate the point on CCD image. But the large amount of data makes it respond slowly an d unsuitable for the real-time digital photogrammetrical system.In this paper an approach is proposed: CCD image is pre-processed by a hybrid circuit such that only signals of targets above the threshold are obtained; the centroids of targe ts are then calculated by the combination of target recognition and location alg orithm.The operation reduces the processing data substantialy and meets the dema nd of real-time photogrammetry.
