Study on preparation and gas-sensing performance of nanometer material CdS

LOU Xiang-dong, JIA Xiao-hua, WANG Xiao-bing(Coll of Chem & Environmental Sci,Henan Normal University,Xinxiang 453007,China)  
Nanometer CdS is prepared by solid state reaction at room temperature.Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicate that the products are hexagonal phase CdS,and TEM is used to determine the shape and size of CdS.The result indicates that at the temperature of 608℃ CdS can exist in air steadily and measure gas sensing characteristic of the material.It is found that CdS is high sensitivity and selectivity to C_2H_5OH,and it is a kind of gas-sensing material which has better prospect.
