Overview of low-power design in wireless sensor networks

The technologies of sensor,embedded chip,distributed information processing and networks communication are integrated into wireless sensor networks(WSN) which can monitor,perceive and gather real-time various information of the environment collaboratively,and the signals is sent to the host computer for processing.The nodes of WSN serve the functions of perceiving and routing.Power consomption is the key factor affecting the longevit of nodes in practice.A kind of low-power consumption WSN can be designed and realized from network system architecture,sensor nodes,and multi-layered communication protocols.However,some urgent problems remain in this field.
