Design of coal mine water level measuring and monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks

To meet the need of water level measuring and monitoring system in coalmine,an intelligent water level measuring and monitoring system is developed based on wireless sensor networks(WSNs),using intelligent water level sensor and microcontroller PIC.The hardware and the software of the system are introduced,and the test results are given.There are many functions of this system,such as measurement,display,alarm and communication.Based on WSNs'protocol,it surmounts defect of wired sensor networks and avoids the high-energy cost of other wireless technology.Experiments show that the system is of high accuracy,high reliability and low power-consume,it can realize detection and monitoring of mining water level effectively.
