Research on the system of ultrasonic wind measurement using adaptive time delay estimation algorithm

In the ultrasonic wind measurement system using ravel-time-difference method,the precision of wind velocity measurement is greatly affected by the precision of time delay estimation,the precision of ultrasonic transducer distance.Requiring a more accurate estimation of time delay when the distance accuracy is fixed.In this regard,a LMS adaptive time delay estimation algorithm is adopted based on weight-coefficient detection,in order to achieve a high precision time delay estimation.Computer simulation and practical tests show that the estimation accuracy of the algorithm meet the requirements of ultrasonic wind measurement system.This algorithm can be used for monitoring the low-level wind field at airport regional.
