Application of fiber-optic sensor in liquid-level detection

Aimed at the problem of liquid-level detection which is always occurred in scientific research and industrial production.A fiber-optic sensor based on optical total reflection and refraction is introduced.Principle effect of probe shape of sensor and the choice of light source on the performance of sensor is discussed.The optical transmission properties is analyzed.Compared with traditional liquid-level sensors,the fiber optic sensor is not influenced by electromagnetic interference and can bear high temperature and high pressure,resistant to corrosion,it can work normally in the environment of toxic,nuclear radiation and other harsh conditions.
