Effect of Starvation on Protease Activities of Cultured Laterolibrax japonicus

QIAN Yun xia (Oceanography and Fisheries Department of Ningbo University,Ningbo,315211)
This study investigated the influence of starvation on the digestive organ weight index and protease activities of cultured Laterolibrax japonicus. The results showed that 1~4 weeks starvation made no difference on the stomach index, pyloric caeca index and intestine index, but made the liver index decrease significantly ( p 0 01).The protease activities of stomach,of pyloric caeca,of intestine and of liver in Laterolibrax japonicus were observed to decrease after one week starvation, and their protease activties only account for 29 80%,24 14%,24 72% and 14 71%of the controls respectively.
