Shellfish Depuration by Integrated O_3-UV Method

Shellfish depuration by integrated O 3-UV method (AOPs) has an advantage over UV depuration, or O 3 depuration. The depurative efficiency of integrated O 3-UV method is characterized by 4 times higher than that of UV, or O 3, respectively. With O 3- UV method,the number of Bacillus coli dropped from 4×10~5 to 7×10~3 FC (100 g shellfish)~(-1) after 8 hours of sterilization to 2.5×10~(23)FC (100 g shellfish)~(-1) after 30 hours of sterilization,sterilizing rate attaining 99.93%.
