Prevention of Bacterial Septicemia in Bluntnose Black Bream (Megalobrama amblycephala) by Photosynthetic Bacteria

Prevention of bacterial septicemia caused by Aeromonas sobria in bluntnose black bream(Megalobrama amblycephala) by photosynthetic bacteria was studied.The fishes in 5 groups were raised in the aquaria including PSB after injecting germ.In group 1,2 and 3,the fish was bathed with PSB at the concentration of 4.0×10~7cfy/ ml for 1 hour 1 week before injecting fish with germ;in another,fish was bathed with PSB at 4.0×10~7cfu/ m for 6 hours after injecting fish with the germ respectively;In group 4 and group 5,the fish was raised in the aquaria without PSB after injected with germ and physiological saline,respectively.The results showed that the mortality of the group 4 was 90%~100%,while that of group 1,group 2 and group 3 were 70%,80%~90% and 80%~90%,respectively.The mortality of fish treated with PSB or without PSB was 20% and 85%,respectively.
