Safety Assessment and Acute Toxicity of Copper,Cadmium and Zinc to White Clound Mountain Minnow Tanichthys albonubes

The acute toxicity of copper,cadmium and zinc to white clound mountain minnow Tanichthys albonubes was studied with the static test method.The results show that copper to the minnow is a drastic toxicant, cadmium high toxicant,zinc median toxicant.The toxicity sequence of three heavy metals to the minnow is CuCdZn.The LC_(50) of 24,48,72 and 96 h for copper to the minnow are 0.166,0.079,0.051 and 0.039 mg·L~(-1),respectively. Those for cadmium are 9.051,6.404,4.906 and 4.447 mg·L~(-1),respectively.For zinc those are 35.43,26.53,20.66 and 16.30 mg·L~(-1),respectively.The safe concentrations of these metals Copper,Cadmium and Zinc are 0.004,0.445 and 1.630 mg·L~(-1),respectively.
