Effects of Nitrogen Sources on Growth of Alga Chlorella vulgaris

The effects of six kinds of nitrogen sources including NH4HCO3,(NH4)2SO4,NaNO3,NH2CONH2,NH4Cl and NH4H2PO4 on growth of alga Chlorella vulgaris were studied at a rate of 50 mg/L when NaH2PO4 was used as P source at a rate of 3 mg/L.The best growth was observed in the chlorella exposed to NH4HCO3(P0.05),compared with other N sources,followed by NaNO3 and NH2CONH2,but no significant effect was observed in the chlorella exposed to(NH4)2SO4,NH4Cl and NH4H2PO4.
