Analysis of Nutritive Composition of Body Wall in Wild Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus Selenka at Zhangzi Island in Spring and Autumn

The contents of moisture,crude protein,sugar,crude fat,ash and the compositions of fatty acids,and amino acids were determined in body wall of wild sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus sampled from waters of Zhangzi Island in Dalian in August and November.The results showed that the contents of moisture,rude protein,carbobydrate were 89.01%,91.53%;4.65%,3.25%;0.80%,0.45%,respectively in August and November,with most significnat differences(P 0.01).The contents of ash and crude fat were 3.02%,2.79%;0.28%,0.33%,respectively,without significant differences.The contents of essential acids accounted for 30.08% and 20.02% of total amino acids with coefficients of variation 20.18 % in the two months,indicating that there were great changes.The contents of EPA,and DHA were 9.94%,11.24% and 5.83 %,7.02% with coefficients of variation 8.71%,13.01%,respectively,which showed great changes and it was higher in November than that in August.
