PRIMARY STUDY ON EFFECT OF C-O BALANCE OF AFFORESTATAL TREES IN CITIES

Yang Shihong (South China Normal University, Guangzhou 510631)  
By measuring the photosynthetic intensity, respiratory intensity and leaf area index of several common kinds of afforestatal tree on the-spot in Guangzhou, the author calculates the ability of absorbing carbon dioxide and evolving oxygen of urban green belt and obtain the data of photosynthetic intensity of each kind of leaf blade. Becauce leaf area index of each kind of thee is different, the ability of green bell to absorb carbon dioxide and evolve oxygen is different. Considering the essential requirement of human respiration, the question of urban green belts norm is inquired in this paper.
