Aerosol in Urban Indoor Environment

The paper describes aerosol types,sources,chemical composition,mechanism of formation and removal in indoor environment.Aerosols in air have been classified into three types:(a)Combustion aerosols,including smoke from all kinds of fuels burning and environmental tobacco smoke;(b) Mineral aerosols, including powder, fly ash,asbestos and other natural mineral fibers; (c) Bioaerosols,i.e. particles of living origin, such as plant and animal.Plant aerosols include pollens,spores,molds and miscellaneous by products. Animal aerosols include bacteria, virus hair,insect debris and dandruff.The paper also summarizes airborne particle sizes and sources in indoor environment.
