An Approach to the Precision of Computing the GPS Levelling Heights Using Gravity Field and Local Gravity Data

Directly computing the GPS Levelling heights using the geoid heights and GPS height infor- mation is a wholly new and charming solution. Based on the key technique of this solution, the proper- ties of the geoid heights (including long wave length-global gravity field, medium wavelength -local gravity data and short wavelength data topography), the paper discusses in detail the actualization, appli- cation scope and precision analysis of the method. On the basis of that, some applied specifications and requirements for the GPS levelling are put forward, and testing and verifying are carried out with the experiental data.
