Investigation on heat-island effect of mountain city with remote sensing——A case study in Beibei District of Chongqing

Heat-island effect influences the city's biological environment greatly.It worsens the urban habitation biological environment and is not beneficial to the construction of the biological city.With TM image,this paper has extracted the information of the type of Beibei land use,NDVI and land surface temperature,and has had researches into the urban heat-island effect from the city built-up area,the lands with different land uses,the man-made heat,general circulation and terrain.Hopefully it could help realize the continuous development of human society and biological environment.The result shows that,firstly,the heat-island effect of the new municipal district is obvious than that of the old district,and it is not well-distributed;secondly,the influence of different types of land use on the heat-island effect differentiates;the one of buildings,roads,squares and unused land is the greatest.
