Edge detection from Airborne LiDAR datas by best threshold mathematic morphology

For better use of the airborne LiDAR data,this paper researches methods of edge detection.The paper introduces the LIDAR system and its use,and LIDAR data processing and use of VC + + to generated depth image.Best threshold morphological methods were used for the depth of images to detection edges.In the paper,for buildings by compared to Log operator and Candy operator methods and for mountains directly use this method.It concludes that the use of morphology have better results,and the edges has less breakpoints,and more continuous,so more conducive to use.
