Sandstorm Monitoring by Satellite Remote Sensing and Service for Reducing Disaster Losses

The paper touches upon the dusty weather which has caused serious influence on the northern part of China, especially the sandstorm disaster and its harm. A briefly introduction of the development of "The Satellite Remote Sensing Monitoring Disaster Effect Estimation System of Sandstorm" and real application of the system is given out. The set up of the system has been promoting the spatial technology application service in the efforts of preventing disaster and reducing disaster losses.
